Hi All

I'm delighted that many of you are able to say that "like you, and many others, I will not give in to RA".

On the other side of the coin, there are also many of us who do not have this option. There are those who, due to the severity of the disease and intolerance of the meds are confined to bed; those who have other illnesses in addition to an a-u diseases (MS, cancer, peripheral nerve disease, addisons, diabetes etc) and those who have badly deformed bones which makes life very hard unless you resort to a wheelchair.

That's very true Jean. The people we know with these dreadful diseases ,and the ones with RA who do not respond to treatment are all trying to fight it too, but it is very hard for them.

Big Hugs all round xx

I agree with what you say Jean, and others xx
- sometimes it's not option to fight RA and other ills,

...i didnt mean RA - sorry not v clear but things bit foggy with me at the mo :(

i meant other factors - might be different for each of us - for me its work at the moment and lack of understanding there - invisible RA but still there nonetheless :(

i have a feeling anyone feeling down for any reason might also relate to feeling stuck in treacle / swimming thru mud :(

thats what i dont want to give in to, not always easy tho',

maybe a meds side effect too,

sorry not clear but I'm glad we got each other to try and balance our down days up, help turn our frowns upside down,

Much love to all ~ Lizzie xxxxx

Oh Lizzie, I hope things get better at work for you soon.
Things like that make the day to day problems of RA even harder to cope with don't they?

Love and hugs, Doreen xx

Thank you Doreen xxxxx BIG hugs xxxxx

..and Melly hope that your fatigue soon wanes a little and joints start to improve,

i got heavvvy feeling all through my body, very tired....

...looking around counting our little blessings - ....Jess made fairy cakes at school yesterday they were SO light and fluffy - shes a really good little chef - dont know WHERE she got that from!!

Wishing you all a very light and fluffy day, going to imagine myself all light and fluffy, see if that helps, lol xxxxx

& I love this poem - we bought it on a postcard when Sophie was little:

Smile Virus BigGrin

by Russel H. Conwel

Smiling is infectious;
You catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today,
I started smiling, too.
I passed around the corner
And someone saw my grin
When he smiled, I realized
I'd passed it on to him!
I thought about that smile
And then realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine,
Could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
Don't leave it undetected,
Let's start an epidemic quick,
And get the world infected!

Hi
I have just read this last lot of messages
I agree with you Jean
I do go swimming (not all the time) but have found it is good for the RA I fall apart when I start to walk with the MS
I really wish I did not have to give in but some-times I have no choice
take care

Thank heavens the weather has cooled down a bit. I don't know what's worse - boiling hot sun or rain lashing down! The garden's had a nice drink now, so can it stop, please? Mind, I don't want it to go back to heatwave, just less rain.

Melly - I hope you've recovered from your day out, and feeling a teeny bit better. is your tooth ok now?

Love Lyn

Hi Melly - hope you haven't been too lonely on your own and you have managed to get some rest. It must be so hard knowing you can't just take the stronger meds (at least I can look forward to a drug switch every now and then!) Wishing you luck for the dentist tomorrow - hope it's just impressions and nothing too painful. Take care.
